On December 16, 2024 my family and I experienced a fire that destroyed our entire home. We were completely devastated and had no idea what to do or where to start. We made the absolute best decision in having Sunpoint represent us. They immediately got to work, helped us find a place to live, conducted their own inventories, and handled everything directly with the insurance and restoration company, while keeping us updated. Insurance tries to underpay and restoration companies are just trying to capitalize off your claim and I can't express enough how blessed we have been to have JOHN HARTSHORN on our side! He is the only one that is there for YOU! He increased our final rebuild settlement over 600k from the original offer and increased our personal property amount. After almost two years we are finally back in our home and John is still prompt at responding to our questions, emails, and is still working on submitting some of our supplemental claims. On March 27, 2024, my family experienced a devastating 4-alarm house fire. Inside the home were myself, my son, my two grandchildren, and my parents who are both over 80 years old. By the grace of God, none of us were physically injured, but mentally and emotionally, the experience has been exhausting, traumatic, and life-changing. This was not just a house. My parents had this home custom built in 1983, and my father himself was the general contractor. Decades of memories, love, and legacy were tied to that home. The fire displaced our family for over two years, and having never experienced a tragedy of this magnitude, we truly had no idea how to navigate the insurance process, restoration process, or how to ensure we were properly represented. Cy Minert ( my public adjuster from SunPoint) was quite exceptional in handling the fire claim for smoke and contaminate damages and destruction to areas outside of my house. The compensation he was able to get from my insurance company far exceeded my expectations. Cy was very responsive to any of my concerns always responding in a timely manner. He was always willing to help me with any problems I was having with the remediation of my house ,even if his company was not getting compensated with the issues I needed help with such as getting reimbursed from my insurance company for all of my living expenses. Before I hired Cy, I was offered $65,000.00 as the total compensation for my house damages. Cy was able to get my insurance company to  compensate me well into 6 figures currently and he is working with my insurance company to get me  compensated adequately for a few final damages which could easily bring my compensation into 7 figures. Couldn't be more pleased!!  After a major flood on Jannuary in Sausalito the insurance adjuster was doing what they are good at...try not to pay me the right amount! I was very frustrated knowing that getting a attorney involved would just delay  the process for who knows how long, then a friend suggested that I call SunPoint! Within a hour from my call Jason from SunPoin arrive insure me that i wuld get the help that I Need! The day after Clay the Manager and Cristal that handle all the appraisal  arrive, organize a new appraisal to be done and within a 40 days I got more than double of what the insurance originally offer me!! After having a fire in our primary residence (resulting in significant losses, demo and reconstruction, and ultimately being out of the home for 7+ months) we evaluated several different public adjusters and ultimately chose Sunpoint, working closely with Dudley and Olga.  What an absolute game changer!  Olga and Dudley are deeply empathetic, absolute experts in their field, incredibly responsive, and relentless bulldogs when it comes to advocating for you.   You could not ask for better expertise, representation, and partnership especially when going through a complex and difficult situation such as this.
