Sunpoint Public Adjusters, Inc. is the “Gold Standard” of the Public Adjusting industry.
Our team of experts have been advocating on behalf of policyholders for decades. We have handled, managed and successfully navigated claims ranging from homeowner losses; corporate losses in the hundreds of millions of dollars; disaster losses involving government entities and entire municipalities; agricultural and recall losses, and virtually any type of disaster claim that could be imagined.
Our team of Public Adjusters, building cost consultants, inventory specialists, forensic accountants, machinery experts and countless others make up a group unmatched in our industry. It is easy to be big. But it takes dedication every day to be the best; we have that dedication.
With the merging a year ago with Independence Public Adjusters (a strong residential office) we brought together a group of incredible Adjusters and team members transforming us to the new IPA/Sunpoint Public Adjusters, Inc. We have the talent others hope for, and the determination for our clients and friends that ensures success for them in the claim process.
Greggory A. Clifford
“I believe that out of everything I have done and achieved in my career, my deepest satisfaction has always been seeing the end of the claim. When it is finally in the past for someone, and they say thank you and become a friend for life, there is no greater reward. Some of my dearest and deepest friendships have come from out of someone’s unfortunate disaster and the bond that is formed as we help them through what no one wants to go through.”
Greggory Clifford’s Insurance history has spanned over 23 years. He has been a licensed Public Adjuster for over 16 years, and a construction consultant prior to that for over five years, evaluating losses and providing bid comparisons on major residential and commercial losses. He holds Public Adjusting licenses in 19 states across the United States.
“ My belief is simple - you do the right thing. No one can understand the uncertainty of a disaster until it happens to them. It is unfair and overwhelming to anyone, whether it is their home or their business. If I can help calm that, and make sure the carriers do the right thing and my client is made whole, then that is a good day for me!”
Tony Astone is entering his 25th year in the Insurance industry. His first job out of college found him at Kemper insurance as a multi-line adjuster. His ability to solve problems and assess damages, quickly rose him through the ranks as he grew through Kemper, Golden Eagle, Safeco and One Beacon to the position of Regional Unit Supervisor. He was responsible for, and managed many adjusters. His role was to supervise, audit and approve claims. Tony has always believed his clients were entitled to a fair and full settlement, and needed in many cases a voice of their own.
“What I love about my role is I am able to pitch in wherever needed with our clients as well as with the office. There always seems to be a wildcard thrown out by the insurance companies, and being part of the pulse of our company allows me to offer my insight into the solutions. I know every morning our job is going to be tough; the carriers make sure of that. But, I also know that our clients expect ……….and deserve us to be tougher. I make sure that we don’t let them down.”
Steve Boydstun is a relative newcomer to the Insurance world; being a Licensed Public Adjuster for only 5 years in California and Arizona. However, he fills a vital role in the company and with our clients. Steve started in the industry as the Chief Administrative Officer for Independence Public Adjusters when it started in 2012 and is one of the founding members.
"I have spent most of my professional career doing something I love. It is hard to ask for more than that in your work. I have had the honor of people entrusting my team and I with their very livelihoods and homes. My commitment is to never disappoint that trust. My personality always has me looking for every possible solution and it has been one of my strongest attributes in my professional career."
Gary has a long history in the Insurance world. Starting directly out of college he spent 5 years as an Independent Adjuster with Toplis & Harding travelling throughout North and South America adjusting major commercial and institutional losses.
"I have made it my personal mission to educate as many individuals on the process of claims adjusting as I possibly can. It is my passion. Advocating for the insured must come from a natural deep-rooted moral character that translates to doing the right thing in whatever capacity. I am a tireless advocate for victims of disasters. It gives me great satisfaction knowing I am helping to rebuild someone’s life.”
As a policyholder herself, Elaine feels it is critical to educate individuals and company owners on the process of claim settlement. She is a true advocate in every sense of the word. Understanding and interpreting policy language, and the needs of homeowners as well as commercial client business operations are key and critical to the adjusting process.

"My own personal loss and the subsequent research led me to this profession. Due to a personal claim, I had to deal with my own insurance company without any professional help or knowledge of the industry. I understand the frustration, confusion, and pressure to make life-altering decisions when you are suddenly involved in a complex claim. There is nothing I like to hear more than a client stating, that the first good night’s sleep they’ve had since their loss, was the night after they placed their claim into our hands. This is one of the most emotionally rewarding careers I could have ever hoped to have."

“If I had only one thing to say about my career and role today it would be I wish we weren’t needed. It’s a shame that after tragedy strikes people have to worry about a financial disaster at the hands of insurance companies as well. I am proud to be part of the solution for so many people and entities after a disaster.”
